ECM / TCM & Network Diagnostics

ECM / TCM, Electrical & Network Diagnostics

Modern trucks depend on modules talking to each other. When a module drops off the network, won't communicate with a scan tool, or reports faults about other modules, the problem is often power, ground, a connector or the data link itself. We diagnose the electronics and wiring side of the problem on-site.

Calls accepted 24/7. On-site dispatch subject to technician availability and safe service conditions.

Typical electronic and network issues

  • Scan tool can't connect to the engine or transmission module
  • Lost-communication (U-code / data link) faults
  • Multiple unrelated warning lamps at once
  • Gauges or dash dropping out
  • Transmission faults, shift complaints or limp-home mode with stored codes
  • Electrical faults after wiring damage or recent work

What the visit covers

Module communication

Confirm which modules are online, which are missing, and what each is reporting, as supported by the vehicle and software.

Data-link checks

Basic J1939 / CAN backbone checks — termination, wiring, connectors and diagnostic port — to locate a communication fault.

Power & ground

Supply voltage, ignition feeds and grounds to the affected modules, including voltage drop under load.

Supported service routines

Authorized resets, calibrations and service routines the vehicle and software allow, when they're the correct step.

Straight talk on safety & compliance

  • Some module programming has to go through the OEM or a dealer — if so, we'll tell you and help route it.
  • We don't modify engine calibrations to remove emissions equipment or limits.

Questions about this service

Can you program a new ECM?

It depends on the vehicle and what our software and license authorize. Some programming must be done through the OEM or a dealer. Tell us the truck and module when you call and we'll confirm what's possible.

Truck down or throwing codes?

Call with the truck's year, make, model, engine, the fault messages and your exact location. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help and when.
